A hotly discussed topic in comments sections and in reviews is the heartbreaking track "Funeral for a Firefly" off of the new record. As luck would have it, some discussion on that very piece was recorded on the last day of recording and so for the curious minded we present the story of "Funeral for a Firefly".
So due to the nature of not being able to dedicate my full time to only the band, work somewhat impeded my ability to post as the album came out. Forgive me for missing that. However, in spite of our trademark poor promotion, "On The Eve Of A Goodbye" is actually selling really well and CDs are currently being shipped around the world to folks spreading the gospel of this bizarre prog cacophony we call The Reticent.
This is to suggest that if you wish to get a physical copy of the new album with the additional bonus tracks not available to download, go to the store and grab yourself a copy. Because when they are gone, they are gone.

It is fair to say that most people reading this know someone (or maybe even themselves) that has been affected by cancer. The "Metal For A Cure" benefit in Charlotte, NC on July 23rd is not only to continue to remind us of the necessity to not forget to push for research or to resolve ourselves to the fate cancer may lay out for us; it is also to benefit someone needing treatment that regretfully continues to be an astronomical cost. This show will feature some of the best acts in the Carolinas are coming together for a cause. It is certain to be worth your time. Details coming soon.
The long awaited follow-up to "Le Temps Detruit Tout" has been completed, mixed, and mastered. "On The Eve Of A Goodbye" promises to be the most ambitious and emotional experience The Reticent has ever had to offer. The search is on to see what label shall be releasing this opus. So do pardon the wait but both Chris and producer Jamie King promise the wait will be well worth it. Stay tuned for more updates.
